In my opinion what this quote is trying to say is that you need to set goals for yourself. It’s like football, you won’t go far unless you know where the goalposts are. This means that you can go various ways without goals. But you really won’t go far. You can tag along and live the moment but you won’t. Let’s say you set goals, you will go further than others. In a positive way. You will succeed in life and be proud of yourself because you’ll have goals in my mind. Goals are meant to be accomplished and nothing is impossible if you keep on trying. For example let’s say you own a car and your friend does to . You both decide that you’ll go to the race car field and compete. You know your car is faster but you have no brakes because you hadn’t fix them. So you know you can’t go that far , why because you did not fix them and also because you are just living the present and you should think about the future and consequences. In class we have a goals journal and that helps us put our dreams and goals and whenever we accomplish something we mark it out and i really like that because then i feel proud of myself. So like always choose the right and make sure you know where the goal posts are so you can go far.
