A rudder is  hinged vertically near the stern of a boat or ship for steering. Without the rudder a ship wouldn’t be able to advance and the ship would just remain there going nowhere but only to where the waves drag it. What this quote means is that you must set goals for yourself. A ship with a rudder gets to go anywhere but they must know where they are heading. So why not set goals, plan out what you want and the steps you must take to accomplish your goals. As i say , anything is possible if you keep on trying but you must set goals in order to reach your full potential. For example let’s say you want to become a registered nurse. There’s so many steps to that. You have to set your mind to what you want. This includes studying, memorizing, training and years of education. When you set these goals you will see that hard work pays off. Everything takes time and practice. You will reach your destination just how ships with rudders do. Never give up on what you want and write down your goals at all times.

Memorial Day weekend

On memorial day i went to work with my dad and i helped him clean the house he was working on. On friday I worked on my homework and on sunday we went to to shakeys to say our last goodbyes to my brother who is joining the U.S army . Yesterday before i left to work with my dad i hugged my brother one last time and after i got home from work i started working on my essay that i must turn in today. I also went running with my two dogs and little brother. I watched chivas v.s tigres on t.v  and sadly chivas won but it was a pretty good game. Most of my free time i went outside to play soccer with my neighbors or i was texting my friend. I also went to the nail salon to get a pedicure. My weekend was okay, i relaxed a little, better than being at school but it was still stressing because time goes by so fast and i have a lot of homework. Memorial day is an important day to honor those who have serve our country therefore i am thankful of them. i also saw my aunt again and my other aunt and uncle who came to visit from pomona. I Saw my favorite cousin who had scrapped himself due to falling down of his scooter.

This is indeed a very powerful quote because it states that forgiving is very important. Hating someone or simply feeling anger towards someone will not only affect you but also the person because it will change you. Forgiving is hard but sometimes we must do it to be able to feel better. Even if the person doesn’t deserve it , forgive them. Yes forgiving won’t change what happened but it will bring peace and happiness until your life and who wouldn’t want that, am i right?

It’s like taking a weight off you and you’ll find yourself in a better mood. It’s best to move on and learn from those who hurt you. Keeping hate inside will just lead to revenge and that will just make you as bad as them. Be the bigger person , forgive and move on. It won’t be easy but i know anyone can do it. Consider how forgiveness can lead you down the path of physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.

What This quote is trying to inform us is that a lot of people dare each other to do negative things. These dare’s might seem “cool, or fun” but no , they will bring consequences to your life. Yeah , you might end up getting through the dare perfectly fine but if you keep on choosing the wrong and the dare will say, “you knew what i was when you picked me up”. Always think twice when doing something and don’t ever let anyone tell you what to do. There’s always going to be those people who care about you and those who don’t so don’t just do it to try and fit it in. For example, Rex D. Pinegar wrote a letter and shared his personal experience. Some people might think that doing dare’s might make them braver and better than others but that is absolutely incorrect. He shared that his friend dared him to run down the street when the car was near by to prove that he was faster, he did it and he faced consequences. He gained nothing but pain and regret but luckily he ended up being okay. This shows us that we must not do what others say just to look better, you’ll just end looking like a fool and it’s important to learn from your mistakes. Daring isn’t a bad thing , you can always dare others to do right things such as choosing the right, and making other positive choices in their life.

What this quote referring to is that you should always do what is right, always. When reading this question ask yourself, “ what if i had to stand alone but i was the only one doing what is right?”

Would you do it? If your answer is no then there’s an issue and you have to learn how to do the right. Give a try, choose to do the right and you’ll see the blessing that will come to you. For example let’s say your friends invite you to party . They convince you so you go and then once you get there everyone is smoking and drinking and they try to pursue you and you say no , they start calling you names because you are the only one who isn’t drinking. You chose the right and walked away, you weren’t afraid of standing alone. But you kept your promise, never let others control you.

That is a huge accomplishment for any person. This shows me that anything can be possible if i choose the right goals and try my best. When you want something you must give it your all and never give up. When you are doing the right all the other right things come to you, everything gets easier when you do stuff with honesty and try and try until you accomplish what you want. It’s not easy to obtain things and it’s hard but just know that hard work always pays off, it will be worth it. Always pursue happiness and success by doing what you love and choose the right things. For example if you have a test and you study hard you sure will get a good grade but if you don't study and see the test you will be lost and get a low score.

Reflection: These are wise words from a wise man who followed his dreams and never gave up and won a grammy. These are tips that will help us succeed in life. They can lead us to happiness because it is important to always follow our heart and do what we love . For instance, many people believe that getting a career that pays a lot will make them happy so they chase after the money but what is important is to do what you’re passionate about because that will make you be dedicated to your profession. Helping others is also important because if you’re a good person to someone they’ll be good so always treat others how you want to be treated . Never give up on what you want because anything is possible if you keep on trying. Always set goals for yourself and you’ll see how slowly you’ll accomplish them and you’ll feel good with yourself. Take these four tips into consideration and you’ll notice how much better life will be because you will be choosing the right.

What this quote is trying to say is that nothing matters most than having a good personality. What matters is how you are, money doesn’t buy you happiness. Happiness doesn’t matter as much nor love. Nobody can change you, only you can change if you want to change. We make our own choices and therefore we must always think twice before we do something. In  the video we saw that we have feelings and values. We saw the dog drowning and the person drowning as well. Who would you save? You should go with what is right not just for what you feel. Always work hard on having good values. As they say, what goes around comes around so treat others how you want to be treated. In this case it’s stick with your values because it represents you. Your values voice you and what you like and believe.

There’s either good or bad , no in between and we all know that choosing the right (good) is the best choice for all of us. How does doing the right thing benefit us ? Choosing the right will allow us to live in peace, be happy, and receive great blessings in life. On the other hand doing what is wrong gives us nothing but guilt and disappointment. Whenever you find yourself making a decision always make sure you always think twice before you act or say something. Always ask yourself , would i like it if people chose this? How would i feel? Is this the right choice? . Right things could never be changed no matter how hard you try, you must always strive for the best and also don’t ever be a follower be a leader and choose what will benefit you. For example let’s say you are walking in the hallway and you see someone who dropped their homework accidentally and you realize that it’s the assignment you didn’t do. What should you do ? You must do what is right and go to that person and return it and you’ll realize a smile on their face and you’ll feel great! Choosing the right is always the right thing to do

What this quote is trying to say is that you won’t ever get away when doing the wrong. You must away think twice of what you’ll say or do because you either end up feeling proud or end up feeling guilt. Have you ever seen someone being recognized for doing wrong? No , right.  So why put yourself and go through that embarrassment. You won’t get anything by choosing the wrong but on the other hand if you do what is right you’ll gain people’s trust, and you’ll feel better as a person. For example if you cheat on your test you might gain a good score but deep inside you’ll feel good and you won’t know how to do the work and fall back in the assignment. What this quote is trying to say is that your honor matters and without it you just pretty much aren’t worth anything because it shows people that you break promises. When you make a promise you must keep it. No matter what because that shows who and how you are as a person. In this quote he is saying he could escape from jail if he didn’t promise to stay but if they were to draw a line and he promised to not cross he wouldn’t. This quote is very strong because it shows that  giving your word is something you must do because once you say i promise, i’ll do it there is no going back. For example let’s say you have a project to do and your friend didn’t do anything but you want to be nice and you agree that he’ll come and present and he promises you he will and he apologizes for not helping. Once the day comes you are ready to present and you are waiting for him but then they call you up to  go present but he isn’t there so you have to do it all on your own. How would you feel? Would you trust the person the same? Keeping your word is very important.
