Duties and responsibilities : Environmental health specialists monitor health and safety conditions in residential, industrial, commercial, and recreational settings.
They are responsible for enforcing local, state, and federal regulations that pertain to the sanitation of food and water, handling of hazardous and infectious wastes, and cleanliness and safety of housing and institutional environments. They check for stuff that might affect the human health.

Reflection: no i would not like to be an environmental health specialist because they have to inspect restaurants , water and other stuff which is kinda nasty because they might find roaches and other disgusting stuff at some places.
