What is veterans day?
  • Veterans day is a public holiday held on the anniversary of the end of World War I (November 11) to honor US veterans and victims of all wars. It celebrated every year by the U.S. in memory for those who lost their lives.
When is it?
  • It is celebrated on November 11 every year.
What is the purpose of veterans day?
  • The purpose is to honor the U.S veterans and victims that have died during all wars.
Ways to show honor and respect on veterans day
  • Say thank you to those who go to war
  • Donate (care packages)
  • Place flowers and flags on soldiers grave
  • Proudly display your american flag
  • Volunteer
I find it interesting that we as students get the day off for veterans day. Also how we have pride for our country and i love it.

Reflection: Veterans is an important day for me because i respect those who fight for our country. They risk their life and for that i admire them. Some leave their families behind and sadly lose their life’s. They deserve this holiday for all their hard work.
