This was known as “ america’s first thanksgiving. The thanksgiving celebrated in 1621 wasn’t use a one  big meal it was a three day festival of eating, hunting, and other entertainments. This was due to the pilgrims successful harvest.  It is an annual national holiday marked by religious observances and a traditional meal including turkey.
